I noticed for the first time today green patches of new grass in my yard! To me, they're like tiny glimpses of hope that winter really is coming to an end and the landscape will come out of its "hibernation brown." At this point in the season, I'm so desperate for spring - for life, for color, for warmth. I miss Tennessee springs. I used to call mom and dad and brag that there were already blossoms on the Bradford Pears, feeling priveleged to be a few weeks ahead of someone else's spring. I'm more than ready to say goodbye to this dull winter and watch for fresh signs of rebirth.
Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Just like you! I love it and I'm so glad you've decided to create this blog. Please keep it going!
ReplyDeleteIt is a warm (70 degrees)Pre-Spring day in Tennessee, and even before I read this I was thinking..."if Dana were still in TN, one of us would have called the other to rejoice together in this glorious day. The Bradford Pear out my dining room window is blooming and the dainty spring green branches of the neighbors' willow are dancing lively in the breeze. So wonderful and welcomed! I am glad you have your own signs of Spring to bring hope and joy! Love you.
