My Aunt Carol brought me some beautiful daffodils when she came to visit, and they bloomed this afternoon! So I took some time to play around with the manual setting on my camera. I don't do it very often, because my kids are too fast for me to take it off the auto setting! I'd never be able to focus on a single one of them. But anyway, the first picture was just as I saw them on my windowsill, on auto setting. Then I let the light blow by putting the aperature down low and putting it on a shutter speed of 800, and it made the petals look transluscent. I like the result - totally different than "as is."
