a word on peace

I was poking through a couple of older blogs from Ann Voskamp's blog - it's amazing how a Canadian woman I've never met can be such a spiritual mentor - and I found a particular post she wrote a couple years ago on peace as a person. Her reminder that peace is a person and not a place is something I need to dwell on more often. So many times I want to "get away" from the clatter and the flurry of home so I can have a moment of peace. But truthfully, Peace is here - dwelling in me - and though it's important to get some "mommy time" to recharge, I can't continually be seeking peace elsewhere. Eventually I will have to walk back into my house, and if Peace can't meet me there, I am in trouble.

  1. Very inspiring post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Thinking of peace as a person is already helping my day go better :)

  2. Amen!! I find myself so frequently praying for inner peace--I know the Lord hears and provides; and seems to be something about the KNOWING that he will provide that is . . .well, peaceful?!
