I picked a small wildflower bouquet from Mom and Dad's meadow this evening to take to Grandma and Grandpa Ewert's graves. (Pale poppy mallow, old plainsman, Nutall's death camass, and a little of this and that mixed in.) I hurried to the cemetery on our way home, trying to beat the sunset. I pulled in behind a car that was driving to the same grave site, and soon realized it was my Grandpa's sister (Great-Aunt Arpa), Grandpa's niece Roxie, and my mom's cousin Diane and her daughters. Coincidental, sure, except that the exact same thing happened last Memorial Day! It was nice to catch up again and we shared grins over our impeccable timing.
